It seems to have a few things I love. Golf, hiking, and natural beauty. Cost of living in Arkansas is low. Negative is that it’s a long way from any major city/airport. Just wondering if I would be bored out of my mind.

It’s an hour drive to Little Rock and 30 min from Hot Springs which is full of restaurants, bars, a casino, and shopping downtown

Not to mention HSV has its own restaurants, stores, and such. So you don’t have to drive far for groceries or good food

I’m either retiring that way or Ferriday. Not sure. Belzoni is probably in the mix as well. Love my catfish and dove hunting.

ArkLaMiss, where it’s all good.

Save me a spot at the 2025 Christmas Extravaganza!

I’ll stay at my relatives. They are all riding in their 1988 Bass Tracker in it so I’m on my own for the viewing.

The golf courses are great. Even if you don't like golf, there are other things to do. There are good places to fish, a beach, tennis and pickleball courts, parks, hiking, etc. Little Rock is only about 45 minutes away.

I wouldn’t consider that to matter in the least. From LR you can be in Dallas or Houston or KC etc in a flash at any time of day. What’s the difference if you enjoy HSV as a retirement option

No yard work. The majority of the yards are gravel.
