If people are wondering how we finish with a bottom 5 record even when we get guys back. This is the way it'll happen. Guys are going to be in and out of the lineup until we're eliminated and then they'll start playing the young guys bigger minutes to evaluate them for next season.

Herb played like he wasn’t 100% since he got back

Pretty sure in the offseason he will have to have surgery on his labrum, he’s just trying to play through it and not have to have a player down the whole season

How long does it take to recover from an ankle sprain?

Depends on if it’s a low ankle sprain or high ankle sprain, grade 1,2, or 3.

Could be anywhere from less than a week to a couple months

Herb has a partially torn rotator cuff. He isn’t 100%. If they think surgery is required they should shut him down and get the process started now.

Agreed, but I think Murray must be legit hurt. I think that he's only a few missed games away from missing out on a ~$3m bonus. Anyone know if he already lost it, or if the bonus was significant enough to get us under the tax?

All because that goofy looking fricking retard on GS jumped on him.

He has one game left he can miss to not get the bonus. It also wouldn’t get us out of the tax, but would get us significantly closer to being out of the tax.

I think there will be a scenario where we trade BI and save around 2-3 million, then sit Murray later in the season but renegotiate to pay him some of that bonus so he doesn’t miss out on it all

I cannot believe that we are still projected to be a tax team. It's crazy. There are almost 15 teams that are tax teams, paying out around 600M. That means the other 15 teams get around 40M each. There around probably around 5 teams that will be able to get under. So even at 20 teams under, that's 30M to each team. If I was the owner and found out my team lost out on 30M extra dollars (plus unnecessarily started a repeater tax), cause of being a couple million dollars over, with the worst record in the league, I'd be beyond pissed. I'm not ever sure why we are spending over the floor at this point..

There is still plenty of time to get under the tax

Why wait? The season is lost and we never had an intention to be over the tax (and pay). This isn't some brilliant maneuver. Shed contracts, stockpile assets, and get under. This is basic business principles..
