I'm assuming either the running back at Opelousas High, or that receiver at OC? Lot of talent in that community though

Not necessarily, considering Raymond doesn't coach safeties.

It is still noteworthy.

Do safeties and cornerbacks share the same part of the practice field?

In a lot of instances, sure. Just saying, it's not that telling if Raymond isn't on campus today since Cooley would be working more directly with Olsen.

I guess that's true. Just figured it would be an all hands on deck situation with the little traffic currently in the portal, but I'm not gonna question the recruiting methods when our portal class is sitting at #1

Always has been. Biggest problem has always been getting kids to play football. The coach at OHS now is from there and played there and knows he needs to recruit the hallways first and foremost.

Our recruitment of safeties has not been elite, regardless of where the rest of the team stands.
Olsen or no, i would like to see Raymond involved in finally getting some
capable safeties .

Keep in mind too, apparently Cooley showed up a day earlier than anticipated. So maybe Raymond planned to apply the full court press tomorrow.

Or maybe Corey just had a hankering for Mama's fried chicken.

He's a standup guy and deserves all of the credit for getting kids out there and motivated enough to take the discipline necessary.

You have to respect what he's done, and hope that he can continue to make a difference

I'm almost certain I played Opelousas Parks summer baseball with him in like 1998 or something.

I am only pushing a little bit more here.

Cooley might be the most important piece of what is left over.

He flew in from Raleigh while Opelousas is not too far away.

I’d think Olsen would want Raymond and anyone else there.

I can only determine that he’s there for the whole weekend and Raymond will be there tonight.

It’s not a complain but more of a question on how they do it.

Thought he came in a day early straight from his visit in Oxford. So maybe it explains why Raymond isn't on campus today.

Without a doubt.

Could he not go make his visits and be back to BTR before the visit is over? You guys overthink shite waayyy too much

ETA. Not so much intended towards you as those who do, in general. I’m pretty sure everyone isn’t just running around with their hair on fire. There’s a plan and it’s thought out.

Can he not drive to Opelousas and meet with recruits and then drive back to BR and meet with Cooley?

There is a very small contact window right now. The coaches that can be on the road have to be on the road. He is still close enough to get back to lsu too

45 minutes to Opelousas from Baton Rouge…1 hour if you stop at Billy’s (which you should)

He’s not signing for Raymond he’s signing for NIL and immediate playing time.

which needs to be reconsidered, based on the play of our safeties and cb's at times.
A coordinated defense is the best defense.
