Love Joe but this is crazy lol. Records are meant to be broken.

"They'll never be another Tebow or Cam Newton" ...there's two of them in the SEC right now

Are you really saying there are two players currently in the SEC that are as good as Tim Tebow and Cam Newton?

If LSU would’ve had a defense then Jayden Daniels and that offense would’ve been as dominant or more, but in a completely different way. As good as Burrow and Jayden were, you also have to account for the insane talent at WR. Those WR’s weren’t just elite for college but are elite at the NFL level as well.
If we ever want to see that amount of production again, it will take an elite QB with elite WR’s (at least 2), and damn good surrounding cast. Throw in a defense to get them the ball more for scoring opportunities and you have a recipe for success.
The fact that we have priority access to Louisiana talent gives us a shot at replicating this more so than most schools. We just need the trigger man to go with the Louisiana athletes. Nuss has the ability to reach this goal next year but his mindset will have to change. He has all the physical tools but what he has to develop is a killer instinct. If he can become a leader with that killer instinct, the team will follow him and they can achieve some serious stuff next year. The talent is there, but is the leadership and mentality?

I mean we saw a dude that was fricking just as awesome 4 years later in Daniels

“But he didn’t win a title”

On, so now we want to put blame on the qb for their defense…….

I don’t think we will ever see a college offense has efficient and productive as 2019 and 2023. You had all-pros across both of those offenses:

19: Burrow, Chase, JJetts, Marshall is still in the NFL, Damien Lewis and Ed Ingram are both starting guards in the league.

23: JD5, Nabers, BTJ, Will Campbell (obviously not in NFL yet), Emery Jones, Dellinger, Mason Taylor.

I don’t think people grasp the most insane part of 2019 was having Jefferson and Chase on the same team

That’s legit the #1 and #2 WR in the nfl on the same college team

The 2023 team was much more dependent on Jayden than the 2019 was for Joe B. The 2019 might have won it all with a good Qb. The 2023 team wouldn't have won 6 games without Jayden.

it will be hard to have a QB that good throwing to 2 WRs who are also that good.

we legit had the best 3 players in college football that season.

You literally picked the year when mass amounts of players were sitting out from other teams except Bama due to COVID?

2019 Bama was head and shoulders better than 2020 Bama.
