Any update on when his inevitable firing will be?
This team desperately needs a top OC if we want to win anything of significance next season

Hes not getting fired

Sloan is not getting fired baw. For a coordinator who had no prior P4 experience + breaking in a new QB, his offense wasn’t that bad statistically. You can only hope for growth schematically.

He isn't getting fired. We need continuity. Perhaps bring someone else to the offensive staff to help with the running game but that might sort itself out with more talented backs

2 months ago, all of you were wanting him to be fired. What caused you to change your minds? He simply isn’t cut out to be an OC.

He's not getting fired but he should.
Kelly should've brought in a real oc.
Problem is this is Kelly's offense and he just wants someone to run it. Imo he will never bring in a top notch oc with a different system unless he is about to get fired.

Dude failed at what you all stated he was here for, to land Underwood.
None of us want to see more unimaginative Offense from him. Dude is trash who parlayed an opportunity and some won't let him go.

He needs serious help in the redzone and scheming a running game. Seems we pretty much moved the ball at will between the 20’s

An OC with a top 25 ranking in total offense with a 1st year QB is not getting fired by any means man

Gonna need better than that at LSU. Struggled to run the ball, struggled to score in the red zone, some really boneheaded plays at inopportune times, etc. If Kelly wants to get getting made fun of by the national media he can keep things the same. Otherwise, something has to change other than hoping and praying it'll improve. There is too much money invested in LSU to not solve the problem immediately without taking a risk.

Kelly has always struck me as an incredibly lazy coach who expects his assistants to do all of the gameplanning/scheming. He’s even admitted himself that he doesn’t like X’s and O’s when it comes to coaching.
He wants to be a hands-off CEO style coach. That only works when you have both elite talent and elite coordinators.

Please source this.

This was an experienced offense, and while Nuss was a first year starter, he has been in the program for over three years now.
With this talent, the offense underperformed.
And it truly under performed running the ball and scoring points.

Which is why you don't elevate him in the first place, kids are so volatile. He may be a great QB coach, but this program is not a "learning" program. Produce or leave.

Kelly’s track record on assistant coach hiring has been abysmal.

You need to look up what the word inevitable means.

I get that he might not get fired, but....
Felt like nothing was easy. Route combos didn't create space. Players had to make big plays (I get that they always do) to scrape by more games than not--luckily we had the players to do it. Blocking schemes for the line on 90% of run plays seemed like "just stand up" / block the guy directly in front of you, and hope the RB can make a play.
