Straight to it.

1- Do you believe in lower taxes?

2- Do you believe in limited immigration?

3- Do you believe in The Rule of Law?

4- Peace through Strength?

5- Fiscal Responsibility?

6- Limited Government, Not zero Gov? The federal government’s powers should be limited to only those named in the U.S. Constitution and exercised solely to protect the rights of its citizens.

7- Human Dignity?

8- Individual Freedom?

9- enduring moral order

10- freedom and property are closely linked

11- The federal government is instituted to protect the rights bestowed on individuals under natural law? A mission that includes not only protecting the sanctity of life but defending freedom of speech, religion, the press and assembly, and the right of individuals to be treated equally and justly under the law, and to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

12- Government functions best when it is closest and most accountable to the people and where power is shared between the federal government and the states.

13- Judges should interpret and apply our laws and the Constitution based on their original meaning, not upon judges’ own personal and political predispositions.

I'm sure there are many more.. but let's start here.

Where are you on these?

Nice assembly of points.

I'll be brief and simply say I'm in agreement 100% with no variance.

muh "Peace through strength" has been bastardized

we need to be strong enough to protect our borders, but we do not need to be strong enough to project our will on the rest of the world & we do not need to bleed our resources and spend so much dramatically more on the military than every other country in the world

Respectfully disagree.... we don't need to be strong enough to project our will... true enough... but we DO need to be strong enough to protect our will... and if that means projecting our will... then so be it. We need to be the strongest nation on the planet, no questions asked. There needs to be nobody capable of defeating us. And that means spending dramatically more on the military than every other country in the world.

That's my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

I’m only going to address the points I disagree with in whole or part.

1 - I’m fine with a graduated scale, and where we are isn’t a terrible place to start while we work on getting fiscal responsibility back.

9 - While agreeing that a moral foundation is needed, the problem comes from who defines that and ensuring it doesn’t mutate. So I think that’s really unworkable.

Looks good.

Everyone needs to understand the US spends more on its military budget than the next 9 nations combined......allow that to marinate.

I don't think that's true. We spend plenty on Defense - but China spends money for items of near peer quality for a tiny fraction of the cost. Their labor cost, their stolen intellectual property, their lack of care in the process of manufacturing - all the things and more multiply the value of their spend. If we were to build as many ships and planes as they are right now, it'd bankrupt as - as what we're currently doing nearly is anyway.

I don't really disagree with this

but I do feel that we spend too much on defense; especially when it comes to overseas bases

that is ONE of the things I love about Trump; I am talking about his demand that NATO partners pay their way and discontinue leaving world defense as the responsibility of the USA & American taxpayers

we need to be strong enough to ensure than no other nation would dare attack our interests

I am not claiming to be an expert on this topic, and I am open to changing my mind

Having said that, my understanding is that American defense policy post WWII has been that we must be strong enough to conduct a full war campaign on at least 2 fronts (like we did in the European and Pacific theatres during WWII)

that may have made sense when Reagan took office & we were in the heat of the Cold War; but do we really need that level of expense in 2025?

seems to me that America has proven her ability to mobilize quickly

like I said; I am open to changing my thinking on this; but it seems like we spend an inordinate amount of our resources on defense

When I explain small 'l' libertarian philosophy to people IRL discussions I've always said: 'First, you have to think of freedom and property as synonyms.'
I trade my freedom for 40 hours a week in exchange for the boss's money.
I trade my freedom of 40 dollars to the grocer in exchange for food.

You're trading your time and labor in exchange for income and goods.

Right, you're giving up your freedom for that amount of time to do that labor. A piece of the boss's property becomes yours.

1- Depends

2- Who's 'limited' are we talking about?

3- That depends on the law. We have a moral obligation to disobey unjust laws.

4- Sure.

5- Sure

6- This is highly dependant on The Constition being a living document that changes and is altered by members of congress.

7- Absolutely.

8- Of course.

9- Who's morals?

10- Yeah.

11-

12- Local governments are cool, yeah.

13- This is a fundamental misunderstanding of the role of the Judiciary.

We need to be strong enough to tell people to FAFO.

The problem is that we are and so are others.
