How serious is Threat of Chinese Invasion of Taiwan before Trump Takes office

Chinas economy is in deep peril! Powers are being transferred to local provinces where brutal crackdowns on civilians can go unchecked if necessary. China concerns that Trump economic policy’s of tariffs etc will be the final nail in coffin for economy and Xis grip on Power.

None, no massing of troops, and no aircraft carriers being sent. It won't be a surprise attack.

No need for a kinetic invasion. It’s a ruse. Same as their nuclear arms buildup. What they really are gunning for is a bio weapon that targets specific racial profiles. COVID was their trial ballon just to see how the West would react. Next version is just going to target those of European descent.

The buildup of men and material necessary for an invasion of Taiwan will take many months to over a year.
It will also take place along the most densely populated coastline in the world. Like literally millions of people will be able to look out their office windows and see thousands of boats massing and loading up with hundreds of thousands of troops.
China will also war game this plan at least twice so they can work out the logistics. And each time say it's just an exercise so Taiwan won't know exactly when the real invasion is coming.
And the landing craft and support vessels China will need don't even exist yet.
So, short answer: No, and no time soon

....but we're all just people.
Let's hear the liberal explanation of how they will attack those of European descent only.

Zero. Stop listening to the neocons.
An invasion of Taiwan would make zero economic sense for China.
Trump invited Xi to his inauguration and to hang out at Mar-a-lago.

Had an interesting conversation with a half Chinese half Malay guy earlier at a function.
Very bright guy. Anyway we got to talking about where China is right now and he’s convinced the Chinese economy will collapse prior to 2075 BUT….when Xi passes, the billionaire class will sweep into power while pushing out Xi’s baws. And this has been the end goal for the have and have nots. No inbetween.
Jack Ma of Alibaba fame was sidelined by China. They put a boatload of regulations in place to keep him at arms length as well as to damage his brand - and it worked.

Zero.
China’s goal is to do it without firing a shot.
They think in decades and centuries not years. They will pressure them in every way possible besides militarily and get it eventually. Or collapse.

At the the minimum, April through October are the best months for an amphibious assault due to weather

Seems like almost none even though it seemed theyncouldnt have a better window. It's possible they're banking on other factors and waiting for those things to come to fruition.

It is dangerous to underestimate the Chinese.

It would cost them a million soldiers even if the US stayed out. Taiwan is very mountainous. Their military and national guard have plans to dig in and make the Chinese fight valley by valley. They will unify by promising autonomy like they did with Hong Kong.

Do you know what the Kinmen Islands are? If so, you should begin to understand, through Taiwanese ownership of those (and similar) islands, the daunting precept for the Chinese of a Taiwan main island invasion.

Before he takes office in 15 days? Zero. No chance.
You could have answered that question yourself with a simple odds assessment, so you must be concerned about something else.
Why is your concern with the chances of it happening within 15 days and not later than 15 days?

When Taiwan goes "hey round eye, look over there, it's a huge arse invasion about to pop off. Need some help"?
Then I will be concerned.
Till then it's just the Navy needing new ships.

Their history shows that it is safer to underestimate them than most other major powers. Of course, it is not a good idea to underestimate anyone.

Right now the threat of invading Taiwan is one of the biggest bargaining chips China has. That's the only reason they haven't done it yet. Xi will try to negotiate with Trump to get something he wants in exchange for not invading.
