Can we discuss Woodward's LSU record?

Fires LSU's best or 2nd best basketball coach ever
Gives a fool a ridiculous buy out
Hired the wrong ND coach and put us in a 10 year $100 mil hole

Mulkey
Johnson
National championships in WBB, baseball, gymnastics
If we’re going to debate this we have to be honest about it.

Hired the wrong notre dame coach based on what exactly?

None of the sports you listed are cash positive. Baseball is probably the closest to breaking even.

It gets worse. If Woodward had his way Jimbo Fisher would be our football coach. There's no point in making any coaching changes while he's in charge of the hiring process.

Last time I checked Freeman has as many semifinal wins as Kelly right now.

You’re in the wrong place. This thread already has two of the worst posters on this board taking part in it. There’s no room for rational or honest discussion.

I thought we were debating Woodward’s hiring record. Is that not what we’re doing?

It’s a mixed back:
The good: baseball is back and it was pretty clean split with PM
Gym finally won a title and women’s basketball broke through as well.
The bad: we pay a lot for a woman’s basketball coach, we pay a lot for not great results yet in football. The O contract was a disaster.
We continue to look clownish in other aspects like our light show

Notre Dame just beat UGA to advance to the final 4 of the CFP. LSU is unranked and just played in the Texas Bowl.
Kelly still has time but would you rather be Notre Dame or LSUs football program right now?

Goodness gracious.
The legend of Wade on here is so much greater than what Wade was.
A good recruiter who was an ok coach.

Worst uga team in 6 years without their starting qb, sure

Notre Dame. Wish we had a guy who could build that type of program

The health of the AD is driven by football. It's extraordinarily weighted in that direction because it pays the bills for all the other sports. It's extremely pleasing to have good gymnastics, baseball, and WBB, but none of those championships move the needle other than some limited social media clout.

Woodward firing of Will Wade was unfortunate but the NCAA was using him as a reason to come after football as well.
Wade had to go, I loved him but you don't talk shop on the fricking phone. He dug his own grave.
Jay Johnson and Kim Mulkey were both amazing hires.
Matt McMahon was a very good hire he's just not working out. Might be time to move on.
The Kelly hire has had mixed results but the biggest issue was the insane contract.
Kelly's success over the next couple of years will determine whether or not Scott Woodward gets to keep his job. Fairly or unfairly
From a personal stand point I wish LSU would remain loyal to Woodward but if Kelly doesn't make the playoffs by year 5, I don't think Scott will be retained.

With pirate king the bar moves to wherever he needs for it to be negative. Just like he moved the bar to the positives when it came to Orgeron

I'm one of about two people on here not throwing in the towel on the basketball team after one loss

Kalen D played for a title last year. Do you consider him a great coach given what happened this year at Alabama?
Ed Orgeron, Les Miles, Gene Chizik, Larry Coker all won championships. Do you consider them great?
Maybe give it a little more time before you crown Freeman as great.
