No V Miller and Fountain and very little of Collins in the second half

Would love to hear the reason why!!

Givens is no where near ready to play as he is so passive on offense and his defense is very poor. Plenty of times he looks lost especially on defense and not much effort to go after the ball. On offense he just stands by the arc and looks to pass quickly while shooting out of desperation and the rare drive is almost always results in a blocked shot.

V Miller is your leading scorer off the bench and I believe he didn't see the floor in the second half. Granted he had a poor first half of his first SEC game but he deserved some playing time to help on defense, rebounding and he can get hot from the floor. Cam Carter had a poor shooting first half and turned it on so why not try V Miller.

Fountain can give you some energy and help with rebounding as well.

Did Collins reinjure himself because it was odd for him not to play at all down the stretch?

3 Sr
1 Jr
1 RS fr
Were the starters. Freshman got some pt.

It is the loss of Reed that has killed this team.

LSU got their asses kicked on the boards. Not quick enough and physical enough to handle Vandy

Because they're not good enough right now. Miller was a 0 when he was in the game and was a net negative with 3 bad turnovers.

Miller turned the ball over about 5 times in the 1st half is probably the reason he played sparingly in the 2nd half

Curtis does not need to play.

VJ was not put in a position to succeed. When you get the ball at the wing and swing it to the corner or top of the key every time that’s not how you score the ball.

He is the future at pg, he needs the experience. He has positive and negative moments like most freshmen. Also, someone has to spell Sears

He is not ready to play. He should have been redshirted. Mike Williams last year was leagues ahead of what Curtis is now… and I wish it wasn’t the truth. If you know me you know I was practically dickriding Curtis in the offseason. I like the dude, he just blows. He’s not a good SEC level basketball player. He is not ready. I think his ceiling is likely higher than Mike, but his floor is much, much lower at present.

He will play significant minutes and accumulate absolutely no stats. He is extremely passive. He has no dog. He plays like he’s still on Montverde and is a small fry in the food chain. He does not have the grit that Mike had year 1 and it’s abundantly evident.

He seemed overwhelmed with the physicality and speed of sec play. He’ll be fine in a few games

Disagree. This was a very slow game by sec standards. It was an utter slog.

He was not put in a position to be successful plain and simple

Fountain was the only one that didn’t get mins. V Miller was not ready for that pressure from those older, more physical players on Vandy

Collins is playing better every game. He was great against Arkansas. It would be amazing to get him and Reed back for their senior years. If he keeps this up, is he going to return for his senior year?

If you're asking whether either of those guys are risks to leave for the NBA, no.

But, with how much roster turnover is common nowadays in college basketball, the bigger obstacle to player retention is other schools

Collins is would say is 75% to return. He is playing solid minutes for the 1st time in his career but probably wants to show a bit more offense before he goes pro. He will always be an amazing athlete so another year shouldn't hurt.

And Reed would probably return as a RS Junior.

I think Collins will definitely be signed by someone in the NBA, because he has great athleticism and potential, and I think Reed will play pro somewhere. I also think other schools will be interested, so we will have to come up with NIL to pay them to come back for their senior seasons. I don't think Reed is likely to go pro next year, but I think Collins will draw more interest.
