LSU feauxback uniform rumour - 1972 football kits

Mates, it's with great excitement that I tell you Nike and LSU are rumoured to be working on an early 1970's LSU feauxback uniform as worn by Tiger legend Bertram Jones.

Works...would be welcomed; gold instead of yellow and purple instead of a bluish/black shade. I would however, keep the current helmet Tiger logo

The pant stripes, mustard color, and grey facemask is an improvement vs today’s traditional.
As already posted, today’s logo is better than that silly thing. I prefer the numbers on helmet if we have to have a vintage look.

They wore numbers on the helmets in 1970. That logo was on the helmets from '72 to '76.

Love it. I remember in 1977 when we first went to the block LSU above the helmet logo, John Ferguson commented that it looked like black electrical tape. It has grown on me since, but the nostalgia freak in me loves that 72-76 helmet.

I don't know who John Ferguson is but the guy got it right. Black electrical tape was the first thing I thought when Charlie Mac unveiled those helmets.
