That just tells us what type of coach Kelley is. He can’t win the big games.

It sure does. He was able to put a plan in place and build a program and hire coaches so well that even after he left, they could keep the train rolling.

Notre Dame beat a UGA team without their quarterback.

UGA is an average team in SEC if their scheduling is close to LSU. They needed ref help to beat GAtech and Kentucky. Kirby is an average coach that has bought elite talent.

Kelly would have lost. Loses almost every big game.

If you think the QB was the issue in that game, you didn't watch the game.

ND outclassed UGA from a coaching and physical standpoint.

Where are all the people that said Notre Dame doesn't play anybody.

Lol we live in a world full of recency bias so I get all the overreacting. But Kelly made the playoffs multiple times and a title game at ND.

Time will tell if Freeman is better but everyone wanting to crown him already is kinda funny

Maybe, but if you think playing number 2 don't matter, think again.

you mean UGA consistently being unable to move the ball and score points wasn’t an issue?

NOtre Dame scoreD on a KOR
and a 12 yard TD after a QB fumble

If you think it had no significant impact, you didn't watch the game.

Georgia has not had a great defense this year, that is a fact. ND was very physical on defense. On offense I don't think they really imposed their will through physicality, I think it was more speed by ND and poor tackling by Georgia.

Ultimately, though, Notre Dame won the game. Bottom line and they deserve credit for that.

I don't agree that Georgia is average with Beck, but they are not as good with Stockton, even though Stockton did pretty well. I think Beck would've done slightly better. Case in point was the last play. There was an open receiver that Stockton looked at, and decided not to throw it, before getting sacked. ND caught a lot of breaks. First and foremost playing against a backup QB. Then Ettiene's fumble, after he had not fumbled in over 300 carries, with Georgia in the red zone. Then stopping Georgia again at the 5 yard line. Those 2 should've added at least 6 points. Then getting the Stockton fumble near the 10 yard line right before the half. Then not getting called for roughing the punter on that first punt. Then that fluke penalty on that player hitting the ref. The ref almost missed the guy. Then getting a TD off of a kickoff return, which is rare. Then the Georgia offsides on that punt, which would've given the ball back to Georgia in good field position with plenty of time. Georgia had a bad game, more so than Notre Dame winning it, but I think Georgia wins the game with Beck.

Carson Beck isn't a 2 score difference.

Beck would have thrown at least one interception. He’s an interception machine.

Guess I'm an Ohio State fan now. The leprechauns should not be playoff eligible until they join a conference.

Fortunately for ND, Northern Illinois wasn't a big game.
