What's the worst place you had to go to for work?

Jennings, MO - booked a hotel there for a week of work at a nearby warehouse. After a night of constant gunshots and sirens, I checked out and stayed in Creve Coeur (west and south St Louis County are really nice). North St Louis County is a scary place and makes Nola East look decent.

I worked in Gary, IN for 4 or 5 days in maybe 2004. I was 26 and wondering why everyone was good with me taking that trip

Harlingen, TX or Strongsville, OH
Both just terrible places.
ETA: While in Harlingen, I had to go over the border into Matamoros, Mexico a few times and that was a whole other level of suck, but never had to spend the night there.

A long time ago I had occasion to visit the lovely ports of Venice, Fouchon, Freshwater City and Berwick.
Those would be bung hole locales.

I had to go to the warehouse in Independence, LA that was the evacuation site for over 800 nursing home residents. That was pretty bad.

Macon Ga in 1996. The only redeeming memory was the steakhouse with a brewery in the middle. The beer "sampler platter" was 7 of 7oz beers what they had on tap.
