Do you consider your wife/girlfriend or husband/boyfriend your best friend?

Pretty straight forward question. Did you ever originally view them as a best friend, but then something changed?

If you’re asking if we were just friends first, no

Yes but only because I don’t have any others.

Yes
Like we're 21 again with a lot more money. Late 40's, kids gone. Best friend I can have sexy time with!

No. I have friends, she is my wife.

So what's the difference, or how do you differentiate?

Absolutely. We were friends for 15 years before anything happened between us. Married for almost 2 years now.

Absolutely. I’ve had it both ways. Having a best friend you’re physically and mentally connected with is much better than having to call your buddy every time your wife does something you hate and didn’t ask your opinion

Yep. My boy Andrew is awesome, but my fiance is 100% my best friend.

Absolutely, we are two peas in a pod.
Looking forward to hitting the road with her in about a year as we begin our 5 year travel plan.

Wife = best friend
Buddies are buddies
I can’t imagine a marriage working out long term without them being best friends. The shite we’ve gone through for 30 years together no way we make it otherwise.

I like my wife. She’s a good friend. My ex fiancé from 25 years ago is my best friend. Wherever my wife brings that up I just leave the house for a few days and call her pathetic.
My other best friend is a female friend from childhood I still hang out with instead of my wife.

None of this sounds healthy.
