Democrat DEI has made this a critical issue. We have people in the pipelines of every important field in the country who are absolutely and utterly unqualified. They received scholarships, jobs, grants, appointments, and elections SOLELY on identity.
Promoting these people has literally displaced tens of thousands of qualified people from American STEM fields. Look at how many Asians were denied admission to Harvard to allow unqualified people in.
You vote Democrat, don't you? I mean, you're literally responsible for it.

With immigration being one of the foremost reasons for Trump’s election landslide, any chance we could halt H1b and possibly just keep the OS1 for a year or two and see how it goes? Just a thought. Certainly we can’t frick up both immigration from our southern borders as well as our overseas “partners”

Making the H-1B more expensive to maintain would ensure that it was only used for highly valued, high paying jobs.
