Charlie is just like his dad. It’s crazy. Not as talented, but everything else

He's only 15. I can't imagine he'll be as great as his dad but it will be cool to watch him on tour once he turns pro

From what I can gather he isn’t really close to being a top junior prospect yet. He still has time but for the moment nothing screams tour pro

Beautifully controlled swing, just like his old man

Putting up 180 ball speed at 15 years old is very impressive and not really teachable. 15 is still very young to tell with regards to talent. He’s still wiry and not especially grown into his body yet. He’s obviously no Jordan Spieth at 15, but he’s got a high ceiling.

Is it though? I bet if you look there are hundreds of juniors doing it currently. Impressive? Of course. But in comparison to the top juniors is it?

Maybe I’m wrong but I think there is a reason he isn’t in the top 1,000 for junior rankings

How many hole in ones does anyone here have in their lives?

Yes, putting up 5mph higher than your average ball speed at 15 years old is impressive.

Meh, scoring and talent aren’t necessarily aligned at that age. There’s also a real science to picking the tournaments to play and not play if you care about points. There are many tournaments you can play in that will bring your ranking up even if you come in last where winning a tournament can drag you down.

I don’t know if he’s going to be good or not. He seems kinda like a shite head to be honest. But, he’s got some serious potential. Even if he wasn’t Tigers son, from what I’ve seen, he’s a very legit D1 talent.

You don’t think they’ve been working the rankings? His misses are rough. Go look at the south beach am scoring right now. Kid in his class leading at 18 under. With roster caps real D1 talents will be tougher to accomplish. He will get on a roster most likely because of name but will have to improve consistency to scratch top 5.

No idea. Some kids really cared of some kids really did not. I don’t follow
The kid at all.

What are the roster caps? Most schools when I was playing were around 10-12 and 4 total scholarships for men’s.

He’s a long ways from having to worry about that. A lot changes in a few years at that time. He’s still got 3 season of HS golf left (I assume it’s a spring sport in FL)

Really cool
If I’m not mistaken, the announcers said it was his first

But not really in sports like golf or tennis

Can’t it? Of course. But it’s far from normal

I mean just from the standpoint of he is playing a sport that costs a lot of money and a lot of time. He has endless resources, access to the best coaching, technology, and facilities that exist, a ton of access to tour pros, and his father is the GOAT who knows what it takes, I’d say his chances at making the tour are pretty high.

He will get tour exemptions just because of his daddy

Same as Bronny getting drafted
