Filling up the box but horribly inefficient. Dude has been a total bust so far. Shooting 36 percent and 29 percent from 3 with 4 turnovers.
Only 12 games but damn

Should try to trade him before he becomes another guy whose trade value flatlines under us

He’s struggling, no question. I still like his defense and ability to attack the basket. Just wish he would do it more. And I still expect his stats to end close to the back of his player card by years end. That’s how it typically goes. But it’s not been great, no doubt.

He was not brought in to be the #1 guy, but sadly that’s the role he’s been thrust into. The Pels problems start at the top, in more ways than one. Everything else is a symptom, not the disease.

Sounds familiar.

He has never been this bad, but filling up the box score at an inefficient rate has been his thing since he entered the NBA.

And this is why I was pushing to get Trae instead of him in the off-season threads. Trae can float you during Zions inevitable injuries.

I wonder if his turnover's since injury return will improve as he completes his recovery. I mean maybe he came back sooner than some others would have ( BI, talking about you)

He's not even the best player on his team right now.
One could argue Jalen Johnson is better

He carried a team to the ECF, we don’t have a player that can carry us to a play in game….

As a hawks fan this was the one thing I noticed. Idk was it different when he played for the Spurs and no one just paid attention.
As a hawks fans it felt like Westbrook style stat padding. It looks nice but it didn't contribute to winning.
I could live with that if his D was similar to Dyson because that's what we truly needed but yea.. nawwww.
I still like Murray as a player but he is a interesting player . Westbrook is the perfect example

Trae is def our number one .. My team have a hard time functioning when Trae misses a game or is off the cort getting rest. Hopefully in a couple of years Jalen is that dude because he can be special. Plus I think Trae would work best as the assists pg/ number 2 guy but right now he is our clear number 1.
Jalen is rising tho

The Hawks are as healthy as they’ve ever been and are .500 in the East. Same record they finished with Murray his first year. And the Hawks played their best basketball last season when Trae went out and Murray took over.
Following the perception of NbA teams always fascinates me. Pels won 49 games in the west last year and were treated like they were terrible. So odd.
