Voice Impersonators

Just down a little rabbit hole..
Heard a local commercial on the radio this morning of a guy doing a bad Trump impression, and it made me think about the actual skill of impersonating.
Watching some videos again this morning of current popular impersonators.
Jay Pharoah is really dang good at a bunch of voices. His Eddie Murphy is better than Eddie Murphy. Does a great Kevin Hart and Chris Tucker.
Made me wonder if the really good impersonators have the ability to sound like anyone they want with enough practice??
I think everyone has heard Shane Gillis and Jamie Fox doing their really good Trump impersonations.
Can Shane Gillis sound like... i don't know.. Owen Wilson or somebody.. Owen may be an easier one to do too.. Can they sound like Al Michaels?
It's a weird and impressive talent... fun to watch.
Here's a nice mix. Bill Hader's Alan Alda is crazy good.

This is Tattoo using voice and image equipment. He’s done several on LR. This one he makes him sad looking and almost crying

Merle Haggard was surprisingly good at this, belive it or not.
I did a really good Mack Brown (Tulane), Kenny Stabler, and Coach O. , and H Ross Perot ( similar to Mack Brown).
I heard Mack after he was at Texas for a few years and he sounded totally different.

I can do a pretty good Karl Childers from Sling Blade.
It ain't got no gas in it.

Very few are as good as Jay Pharoh although his range is lacking.

It's a gift! My youngest daughter does really good voice impersonations (mainly people she knows, but her Jennifer Coolidge and Emma Watson are on point). She also can do almost any accent. She amazes me!

One of my favorites is Josh Robert Thompson. He used to voice Geoff the robot on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He did all the voices on that show but is probably most know for his Morgan Freeman. Fun fact: He lives down the street from me and is a really nice dude.

Rich Little was the best back in the day.

I was watching a show that featured old clips of Merle Haggard and he was prodded into doing Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Buck Owens and George Jones, and he nailed them.

He nailed the Arnold impression, and he nailed the George Lucas impression...

Yeah, Rich Little is a very good impressionist, plus he's just funny too.

Came across this. Figured you'd get a kick out of it. Funny stuff. Loved the Craig Ferguson Late Show.
