On a map of flu activity across the U.S., Louisiana glows a bright red, the only state where flu rates are considered “high,” making it a hotbed for the dreaded wintertime virus. At the same time, RSV levels in wastewater in Louisiana are soaring, resulting in hospital wards that are overflowing with patients.

“We’re chock full,” said Dr. Mark Kline, an infectious disease expert and physician in chief at Children's Hospital New Orleans. “The wastewater data is off the charts for RSV, and influenza is up there, too.”

Have saw 8 patients with the flu yesterday but none so far today. You baws stay safe. You would hate to be sick and have to deal with in-laws over Christmas.

All 5 of my family contributed to the Alabama numbers for Thanksgiving. It was a rough round of flu too.

Makes me feel better about the never ending cough we have all had.

At least it’s not the flu.

Not a lot of flu here in Kentucky yet but we had some upper respiratory bullshite for two weeks that our Aunt spread to half the family on Thanksgiving. Monday was the first day I didn't have to take Mucinex.

My 5 year old has the flu right now.

It should spread to the rest of us by Christmas.

Joy!

It was required one year for a client, and my reaction to it was significantly worse than the flu would ever be.
