Am I crazy to think that a Natty is legitimately in the cards for LSU next season?

If we get the C from VT and bring in a safety or 2, I truly believe that we have good enough players at every position to make a run.

This board is either national championship or 10-2 at worst when it comes to preseason expectations.

The offseason is the best because you can dream of wonderful scenarios and nothing can prove you wrong. Its once those damn athletes get on the field and you see their flaws that ruins everything.

Moscona is making it sound as if one of the safeties we are targeting is playing this Saturday in the playoffs.

10-2 is the ceiling which would get us in the playoffs, then anything can happen.

A more realistic prediction would be 9-3 or 8-4. The schedule is a gauntlet and that doesn’t necessarily mean we have a bad team.

With the playoff, I think anything can be on the table. Just have to get the new guys into the system and aligned to the process. After that, CBK has to take more control of the offense planning and game day operations and don’t shite the bed on Saturdays.

We definitely look better on paper than we did 2 weeks ago but we have Clemson, Ole Miss, and Bama on the road and all 3 could be losses. Let’s see how the rest of the roster shakes out and looks heading into fall camp next August

Probaby, only because when I think we will be good, we are far from it. I really thought we certainly had a playoff spot this year preseason and if all the cards fell just right maybe we could bring home a Natty. Welp, who was to know our defense would perform better than our offense for most of the year.

So I feel skeptical that BK can take the next step and we have a lot of new pieces that we will be counting on to be starters on Day 1. On paper if we get a few more OL and safety help then there is no reason we can't compete.

So in saying that because I feel like 2 losses is our ceiling, we will of course go undefeated and win the title.

I'm right there with you. Next year was the year I always had in mind for things to start clicking for Brian Kelly at LSU.

Even if Nuss doesn't have that jump like Burrow and Jayden did their 2nd years here, but just improves a bit and limits the turnovers, next years team will definitely be in the playoffs and championship contention.

I think we're about to go on a nice little run. Championships will be a little harder to come by because of the expanded playoffs, but I think we'll get at least 2 in the next 6 years or so.

BK is still the coach. He needs to win an opener and he will need to beat some ranked teams on the road. Will be many new faces so will be fun to watch!

If we get two legit OL, and two bad arse DL, with a couple safeties. I would say payoffs and 10-2 next year is a really good possibility. QB, WR, TE and RBs are loaded. The OL needs help and so does the DL.

Let's win a couple of games with the new roster first, G.

We need a couple starting quality safeties and an OL or two. Probably another TE as well.

Then I'll say we should have NC hopes.

We really don't need two badass DL. I'm not turning them away , but I think we desperately need a couple starting quality safeties and an experienced starting quality center. Wouldn't mind another OT either.
