There will be enough Republicans voting with the Democrats for this to pass the House tonight, watch.

Moar winning from "Conservatives"

There are maybe 4 or 5 actual conservatives in our congress.
That's why this bill, and every other bill like it, will always pass.
Most of DC is one team. And no matter who is the President, that is never going to change.

And the grift goes on ...
Until someone is willing to explain to their constituents that they value principle over re-election and the voters reward that behavior.

Yep. I used to laugh hard at the posters here that were happy with Johnson becoming Speaker because of the benefit that Louisiana could/should receive by having him in there. I wonder what that could’ve been about…

Appropriations bills are literally the one bill that must pass every year, so yeah.

So... spending on ME is okay... and every representative will feel this way... and the dang thing will get passed.
If the funding for her district (and all the other districts affected by the recent hurricanes) was really all THAT important, then pass a separate bill with just that in it. Or... leave all THAT funding in the CR, but get rid of the fluffy nonsense such as pay raises, no ability to investigate... things like that. And there dang well better not be the word "Ukraine" in there even one time.

She's right about stand alone bills. Why can't there be stand a!one bills?
For every good thing that are in CR's, there are three bad.

Her voting yes is a prime example of why pork belly spending works.

They have a gun to her head over hurricane relief.

Now, I'd argue, that's a good thing, as it would stop A LOT of the pork. But that's the reason--not an argument of merit.

Clearly wasn't elected for her fiscal policy.
Her constituents would understand why she voted no, if she had the courage to explain.

We need a purge in the worst way. I call her out on the gram often. Never a response. Shocker.

I thought items like emergency relieve were deemed essential and kept going during shutdowns.
