Should we pay illegals to leave?

I know this will get some downvotes. But after going after the low hanging fruit like criminals, and hopefully cutting benefits, I would tax or tariff money going back home with a 100% fee. Then force employers to hire legal citizens, and then after all that any of the ones left. Give them $5,000 and a plane ticket. It would be a lot less expensive than rounding anyone up and dealing with the paperwork, and you wouldn't have to deal with the sob stories in the media. Here's your money and sign here stating you won't return, bye.

The version I heard was give them $1000 and a plane ticket, but they can still return but have to go through the legal process, waiting in their own country, not running around here, whereabouts and activities unknown.

Another problem with this, the illegals wouldn't take this deal unless the alternative was still on the table:
Take the deal, or be subject to getting raided, rounded up, and forcefully sent back with no money and a permanent ban.
And for people to take that seriously, you have to actually start doing it. If you actually start doing that, then you'd see many illegals actually take the voluntary deal.

No. But it should be criminal to neglect to get photos, fingerprints and collect a DNA sample at the time of deportation to be compared with any future immigration action be legal or otherwise.

They will deport themselves, except for the gang members and we can put them in jail then use a trebuchet to deport them after their sentence is complete.
Or do like Poland is doing. Open the border gate and shove them through the door. Let them be Mexicos problem. Pass legislation if you are caught a second time illegally in the US it is the death penalty.

We've been over this before. You give an illegal $5k and put them on a plane to Mexico City. The cartels will be waiting to be $5k richer.
And if they somehow get the cash past the cartels, they will use that money to get right back in.
