New Dem Talking Point: Trump Didn’t “Win” Popular Vote

Though he got more of the popular vote than Kamala, he didn’t “win” it since he only got 49.97% of it as opposed to 50.01%+. Thus, his mandate isn’t as strong as he thinks it is. Do they have no shame?
Here’s our taxpayer-funded NPR:

The Nation and others are saying the same. Don’t fall for it.

President-elect Donald Trump got very close to a majority of the vote in this presidential election, but not quite. It is not exactly the "unprecedented and powerful mandate" Trump claimed on election night.

Well yeah that’s why blue cities were still counting “ballots” a full month after the election. Gotta get a perceived win, no matter what it takes

Which makes Slick Willie Bill Clinton the most unpopular President ever. He got less than 44% of the popular vote.
Hence the reason the MSM worked overtime, 24/7, to tell you how popular Slick and Cankles were when they were not!!

Clean up the mail in ballot, ballot harvesting in California,, NYCity, Chicago ,and Kamala is the loser she is.

But ,Clinton with 43.0% and 49.2 share had a mandate. It's always horseshite with the left.

Are they done yet or still 'finding' ballots?

The term "mandate", in this instance, is a media-created definition and as such is very subjective. See also: "czar".
If a Democrat won by even a .01%, they would claim it as a "mandate", and that's well before factoring in that not only did Trump win the EC and the popular vote, but he had enough of a mandate to win back the Senate AND gain a few more seats in the House.

Defund NPR. One of the few things Romney was right about.

Technically he did if you count RFKs votes for him. It was well know RFK would have a role in trump’s admin. So essentially RFK voters voted for a Trump presidency

It doesn’t matter whether we fall for it or not. Popular opinion on whether or not there is a mandate is absolutely meaningless. A mandate exists if, and only if, a critical component of the opposition is scared of the movement that got Trump elected.
Democrats in safe districts and states will not be scared. It’s the ones in purple states and districts that matter. If they think it’s a mandate it is a mandate; if they are not worried it is no mandate.
When Reagan won in 1980 the swing states (and districts) Democrats were scared. They voted en masse with the Republicans. And the press - dildos even then - named them Boll Weevils. They helped form the coalition that gave us dramatic tax cuts, conservative judges and a military buildup to confront Communism.
The debate about it is like the post mortem about a football game that has already been played. The losers will nag the winners about who had the most yards, or first downs, or whatever - anything to assuage the pain of losing.

You jogged my memory, had forgotten all about that. Which I was 14 and brain cells were subsequently killed in the next 8 years.

Maybe they would like to mention Bill Clinton who got 49.2% of the vote in 1996 and only 43% in 1992.

Also: what came of the FBI claiming 'bomb threats on election day in various polling stations?

he didnt "win" it because cali had a month to pad the vote for cumala, are they even done counting yet??
the fraud that goes on in cali needs to be reigned in. cali is a red state.
2020 trump won only 23 counties and 2024 he won 32...the majority of the state.

Are they still counting in Cali? Serious question.

This is the equivalent of yelling “racist” in an argument.
If they have to resort to this, you know you’ve won the argument.
Let themselves look petty when they use this in any meaningful sense and tell them that’s why they will continue to lose and move on.
Don’t teach them or let them know how to fix themselves so they keep losing

Trump winning by any margin is a mandate and referendum on the MSM/Dem engine. They did everything in their power and he still won. Imagine if they'd had been unbiased or even been just slightly bias.
