I like your optimism, but interested to know what has you this excited. Some of the signings look pretty good, but I'm not seeing a ton of "lead us to the promised land" types.

I think after a disappointing 2024 in terms of missing the playoffs, Kelly is going all in for 2025.

Look at 2024 deficiencies or departures:
-Missing a physical yac WR that has breakaway speed - Barrion Brown
-Need DE that can set the edge - Pyburn/Butler
-Need QB depth with experience that can come in if needed - Van Buren
-Need better play at C position - Braelyn Moore (projected to sign soon)
-Big bodied WR with speed? - Anderson (projected to sign soon)
-Need experienced, quality CB - Delane
-Need CB depth - Jackson
-Need quality, experienced traditional TE to replace Taylor - Sharp (lead receiver at OU)
Every player fills roles and holes that this team had. We don't need an elite player to carry the team. We need quality players that can do their job effectively. That was Michigan's formula last season. There are no game changers in the portal anyway. It's effective use of portal resources to maximize your roster that's needed.

We'll still be 7-5 or 8-4 next year with no offensive line. Kelly can't compete for championships in the NIL/transfer portal era of college football.

We will be fine on the OL. We already have our tackles on the roster, Chester is moving to guard, and we picked up a starter at center.

All 7 signees are starters from Power 4 schools.
I think that's pretty exciting.
