What would you trade for JJ McCarthy this offseason?

I can’t imagine the Vikings don’t sign Darnold long term. He’s only 27 and 5th in MVP odds before today(probably going to move up to 3rd).

Dolphins traded a 2 for Josh Rosen. Difference of course is that we had a year to see Rosen wasn’t good. McCarthy is an unknown on IR.

A 2 straight up seems like a risk I’d take. Swapping firsts? Not sure about that. But a 4 year cost controlled QB that is very young for his class, it’s intriguing.

I think Darnold is still more likely to be available than McCarthy.

Better chance we could get the 90s version of jenny McCarthy. Now I'd take that in a heartbeat

I'd rather sign the legendary Aaron Rodgers

Why not, then we can have a group retirement party of cam, Aaron and a few others filling out their AARP forms

That’s going to be an interesting choice Minnesota will have to make. I think they may try to keep both for another year, but they HAVE to try and re-sign Darnold, right?

McCarthy would likely be the top rated QB is this year’s draft. Again, I think they want to keep him, but what if some team offers a high second or late first round pick?

So just a 4 year deal then.

Sam is going to get paid elsewhere and the Vikings will try to ride the rookie QB contract wave with this roster, maybe if Darnold wins the SB

Let someone else overpay for the guy having an outlier season, it would be hilarious if it were the Jets

God No. It was a head scratcher why he was selected so high to begin with. We don’t don’t need to make the same mistake and throwing him into an aging roster without a lot of weapons where it seems like he’d be destined to fail.
