The first million was because he was over paid. Just saying.

I think Kelly is starting to feel the heat he's putting on himself. He came to LSU thinking of the last two mouth breathers who won titles at LSU and expected to do it too. Now that the changes in the game have accelerated, he's realizing it's harder than ever to win one and now he's making damn sure he does everything he can do win one here before he hangs it up as well.

If you had asked me at some point between mid October and yesterday, I'd have said Kelly won't win one here but after seeing the additional commitment he announced this morning, I'm all on board the Kelly train again. This baw is determined to do whatever it takes to win that trophy at LSU and I appreciate that.

People lose their minds over Kelly’s contract but he’s barely holding onto a top 10 contract at this point. I think he’s number 8. And every time a big program hires a new coach, Kelly’s will be lower ranked.

It’s never easy to hire a Coach after one has been fired because the Program is usually in trouble and high risk. I can see Woodward’s pitch, “Come to LSU and take over a roster with 39 players and you have to win a Natty by year three and we want you below market for a top tier program”. What are you people thinking?

Is it fair to ask how much Da Coach O gave back while LSU gave him millions as he unraveled?

People see $10 mil a year and they still view that as a blockbuster number.

Most Rantards don't realize people like Drinkwitz at Mizzou, Stoops at Kentucky, and Kiffin are all making like $9 mil a year.

You are referring to something else where he was overpaid by LSU. This is not that incident. BK donated a mil I believe into the nutrition and recovery center.

People are acting like he’s a f’ing saint because he gave this money to the program but in actuality, he’s preserving his lifeline while innovating so I won’t hate on him for that.

The program needs a boost and this is a great way to get it moving.

He doesn’t have to preserve his “lifeline”.
His lifeline is an altogether binding ten year contract.
All he has to do is show up and collect his millions.
He doesn’t have to give back a penny.

Preserving what lifeline? He has a guaranteed contract. If he goes 0-12 next year and gets fired, he would still get the rest of his money. You’re an idiot.
