As for the game it looks interesting for what was shown and really dig the 80s aesthetic

TLOU2 could have been a 20 hour cut scene of Neil Druckmann being pegged and it would have sold what it did.

Gonna be a hard no for me dawg. The people that made naughty dog the brand have long since left or been banished. Similar to BioWare and many others these names are just less talented people wearing their skin suits

I’d usually be happy to punk you but you’re not entirely wrong in some areas. The game did sell really well; however this must be understood it was in the context where very overt preaching was marked as dead on arrival. I played it even though the story makes me wanna vomit and it is impressive in many ways. The visuals; sound design; combat upgrades from game one. It’s a fun game to actually play but a dreary nightmare of ultimate cynicism to experience it’s story. In retrospect it honestly wasn’t that woke compared to what we have seen since; which is a pathetic statement to have to admit.

Tbh I’m not really shocked by this. There’s been a lot made of the sort of civil war between Sony Japan and Sony America and naughty dog is Sony Americans like number 1 studio and backer (supposedly). They’re going to make the type of games that side of Sony wants to see. Luckily every time they do this it’s only going to flop badly and after concord it’s been reported Sony Japan has a lot more power now. I’ve even seen it reported by a few people Sony japan is fighting to designate Ghost of Yotai a spin-off something in the vein of intermission for ff7 remake but longer, and then producing an actual ghost 2 with Jin because they know if they don’t it’ll kill the biggest brand they have left with a lot of good will behind it… so far
