We Need a Mobile QB Now

While we all enjoy the feel good story that is Nuss and his loyalty to LSU, unfortunately we have a much bigger problem. With our Offensive line now having to replace 4 players, Nuss' style of sitting in the pocket hoping a play develops isn't an option next year. We saw Jayden run for his life for one season, and it's the only reason we won the games we did. Our running woes will continue until we develop and our Line meshes with each other.
We must be aggressive with a dual threat QB or we risk facing another season of mediocrity or worse. Even if we brought in 4 transfers, they would have to learn each other's strengths and weaknesses and how to compliment each other at warp speed.

Hopefully Nuss and the experience he has will make it easy on his line, with crisp reads and proper audibles, moving into the correct protections. We have good guys coming in and back on the OL. Maybe a change in rushing philosophy can open up the play action and the deep middle.

He's legit, dude hasn't played much football at this level and he ended the season great

Yes, unless you enjoy 6-6 seasons.
Never has an offensive line had to replace 4 members and had immediate success, especially for a QB who requires a clean pocket to make accurate throws. When under pressure, Nuss tends to either roll INTO the pressure OR throw off his backfoot while falling away leading to wildly inaccurate throws.

Nuss is actually quite good moving in the pocket and escaping pressure, he just doesn't run.

He performed much better in the final two games with his pocket presence.

Calling for it and lineman being able to actually execute or 2 VERY different things. What happens when the pocket collapses? We saw what happened during that 4 game stretch. Back to back sub 50% completion percentage.

Do you have sources for this? Because I call BS. Pre Portal, post portal, ya moms portal. No offensive line has had success replacing 4 guys, 2 of them being tackles. It's going to be rough next year.

They gonna hate you but it’s true we are very successful with one , the sec is successful with one . The line is gonna be arse. We deserve an option to run
