Ceramic Christmas Trees, trashy or not?

I'm a 43 year old married (to a woman) man, and I recently saw one of those old school ceramic Christmas trees. You know, the kind all our grandmas used to have back in the day.

Anyway, it hit me in the Christmas feels and I kind of want one to start a collection.

My question to you is, are they trashy or not? I'm pretty sure I know they're gay. Seems like everything is gay on the OT.

Any tips or good brands y'all recommend? There are quite a few vintage ones on Ebay.

My grandmother was president of the Shreveport ceramic club for years. Of course we had one of those. My mom still puts hers out.

My wife (no pics) wants to start a collection of those. My mom used to have one. Next time I go to Louisiana I’ll have to see if my dad knows where it is.

We’ve got 5-6 in various sizes and colors (green and Snow White) that we have picked up at antique stores through the years.

better than using recycled tampon and depends and painting them green.

Trust me on this.

I can’t tell you how many times a young GeauxldMember was fussed at by my mother for making off with the “ornaments” from the ceramic tree and nativity set figures. The Wise Men and Han Solo got into some pretty heated exchanges…

Oh, and not trashy.

Not trashy at all. I think they're really cool and we have one my wife's grandmother made in the 70's.

Not trashy. I've been wanting to get one for my house but haven't yet. I've always liked them

I think they are ugly but my grandma back in the 90s had them all over her house during Christmas so I can’t complain about them

The really old ones had removeable lights. It was trashy to have them up when a quarter of the lights were missing.

Have the exact same tree which resides on the counter top every Christmas. Wife and grandkids love it so it stays.

Has been passed down for now the third generation
