I know there’s too much money at stake from these neutral site palaces, but it feels like all the higher seeds should be rewarded with at least one home game in the playoffs. Seeing Penn State go to Boise would’ve been fun.

They probably should be until the championship. The problem is the quarters on on NYE/NYD, so they may as well have Rose and Sugar those days.

Shut down the thread or shut down the big four bowls because that would be the consequence and that isn’t happening.

One problem with that is hotel rooms could be already booked due to New Years. Could be a reason to have 2nd round game sites predetermined.

Can't see many Vols fans invading Columbus in late December, that is peak depressing weather time in the midwest.

I went to Austin, Atlanta twice, and New Orleans in 2019. If LSU was in it this year I’d do what I could to go to the games. Especially if it were in a place like State College and/or the Rose Bowl

Well as of now, only 1 team’s fans knows they’re playing to book hotels for New Years. So you still have the issue of hotels being booked up for fans of teams that have to play in the first round waiting to see if they win before booking hotels and flights.

At least games on campus would reduce hotel burden because the host team’s fans would be mostly locals

It’s a 5 hour drive. In Tennessee fans don’t show up they’re pussies

This has been a great environment tonight, imagine the next round with even higher stakes at those stadiums.

It will eventually happen when these schools see how much money they're bringing in

The only people that care about those traditions are the committee members of those organizations. They pay so much money that universities would be able to touch those games if they wanted to. I'd also rather keep those playoff games on weekends if we are forever stuck with the tradition NY6 bowls. Cities will figure it out and make it work.

Every other tradition in this sport has been shot in the head but we must keep the stupid bowls in a system that has passed them by.

If the bowls want to continue they can pick non CFP teams.
