Was coming in to post that.

I was in charge of a social media page over the fall and I used it the whole time. All I had to do is write down my thoughts and tell it to write it in a certain tone and boom…..lots of compliments on my cheating

Maybe find a head hunter first that intends to send your resume out.

Has the younger generation fallen so far they can’t put a simple resume together?

Coming from someone who’s hired a lot of people, I’ll at least give some DONT DO advice:

No pronouns
Most people won’t read a cover letter
Make it clean and simple
No more than a page and a half
If you have multiple jobs of less than 2 years of service - trash can

It isn't formatting a resume.

The good resume consultants meet with you and talk about each position you held. Idea is to tease out points you can emphasize.

News flash. You aren’t the first one to look at that resume. A good resume gets to the hiring team, the content and interviewee get them the job.

Came to post this too..

had several internal bumps over the last years simply uploading my resume, uploading the job I wanted, and asking it to fill me in

Sometimes the pronouns thing is damned if you do damned if you don't. An applicant has zero idea who will be looking at their resume. Better to put it and not need it.

Yep. Clean and simple is the way to go. Honestly if someone's resume looks too fluffed up with AI created corporate speak, I count it against them.

Agree 100% on the job point. Sure there are exceptions, but if those job hops aren't promotional, it's a no.

Eta: Priority for applying should
1. Online Application - some employers don't even look at resumes these days until after you get past any screening tool/HR approval.

2. Resume

3. Cover letter - low priority, but may be a tiebreaker for getting and interview between two good qualified candidates.
