I am so pissed in some ways right now.

For the first time in a long time I had to gar a presciprion refilled - Eloquis the blood thinner. I have a genetic mutation that heightens blood clot risks. For the last couple years I’ve been managing it with Bayer but I mentioned it to a woman I’m dating and she convinced me to get back on the actual med.

Anyway I go in to pick it up and it’s not ready the gal behind the counter said they didn’t fill it because when they ran the cost it came to $1600 for a 90 day supply. I almost paid it but the. Started investigating. Go online on my phone and find a manufacturers program for those with insurance and poof $1600 drops to $10.

Now, why in the hell do they try to rip off people and their insurers? I hadn’t met my deductible this year so I’m still paying 100% (HDHP).

Big Pharm is more cutthroat than the cartels.

What should they do? They created the program, correct? Your insurer doesn't know about it?

You aren’t allowed to ask that. It’s a HIPPA violation.

It's like the Sopranos. While they're busy robbing honest citizens they're also robbing each other whenever they can.

Are your labs good, are the doctors happy with this plan? If so, why change?

Sounds like pharmacy ripoff, not manufacturer ripoff.

I've always been interested to see what happens when more hard core drugs are legalized, and Phzier gets pitted against the cartels. Blackwater fixing to eat.

I know what your problem is, because I am on the Eliquis as well. The $10 copay requires that you get a 30-day supply at a time….90-day and they don’t honor the $10 copay. I don’t know why pharmacies don’t know this, but I have the same problem every 3rd time I refill my script.

Tell them Spankum from the internet says to give you a 30-day supply and all will be right!

ETA: I am on a high deductible plan as well and pay $10 as long as I do as stated above.
