With NIL….we should’ve prepared better mentally for this. I mean…why in the hell you think UNLV is in the top 25. You’re rich cities will dominate while your typical college towns will have to hope that they can recruit what’s left of some of the better “loyalty” players. None of these kids leave because of the programs situation. They want to start and get paid. And…they’ll definitely get paid more by bigger markets.

You mean like Ann Arbor, Columbus, Auburn, College Station, Athens and Eugene? Those big cities, that happen to have massive booster bases and numerous billionaires each? T

Bruh, Columbus is pretty damn big. Ann Arbor is like 45 min from Detroit.

Uhh, that’s not how it works with what’s going on now. Boosters are footing the bill. Boosters don’t have to live where the university is to deliver the goods.

Dude, Louisiana is poor. I hate it, it sucks. Until they put a cap on this NIL thing LSU will miss out on 5 stars to the big money schools.

Why are we even recruiting? We had Bryce locked in for a year. UM wasn't on his radar. They swooped in and made an offer when he hadn't even been on their campus in over a year. Wasted time and resources on a kid who just wanted a pay day.

Kade Phillips flipped over a last minute offer. It's clearly not about the school...it's the money.

I think things will eventually level out, because kids will eventually start to see the bigger picture...but it might take a while.

Good point. We need to shut down recruiting and save our money for bag hunters. Also wouldn’t be a bad idea to have some sort of state NIL tax. Say 0.3% ? I’d be happy to pay it

When have 17-18 year olds EVER seen the big picture? It’ll be about money until it’s fixed. Period

I see something worse. The super rich and the corporations will figure out that they can make millions off of college football instead of donating millions to it. They will make their own schools, pay the very best players every year, and dominate against traditional college teams.

Think of who we’re talking about. They’re typically not great at making long term decisions.

But, but.... when NIL became legal, LSU put out a graphic that said "NILSU"... I thought that's all we had to do to be on top of NIL?!?

Vegas gonna get worse if I have anything to do with it. Been going every year at least once, often twice, but no more. Prices are ridiculous

Because they played a G5 schedule. Rice and the Univ of Houston is not going to be consistently relevant any time soon.
