I am past ready for Mr Northern Arrogance to start doing what he’s paid $10 mill a year to do; build a strong damn football program. A defense that can stop someone and an offense that run the football.

It’s disappointing that in a season with so many upsets and no true dominate programs that LSU isn’t even in the discussion.

Some of yall really...really...need to recalibrate your fandom.

This shite is supposed to be fun. I watch LSU football because i love LSU football. If its this all or nothing mentality you are turning something that is supposed to be a good thing in your life into an almost guaranteed source of negativity.

Every season we get to add really enjoyable, memorable LSU football moments to our collection.

Ole Miss was awesome. USCe was fun. OU with Nuss coming back out of the locker room and balling was sick.

Sure...i want more success. And we will have it. But im not just going to throw away every season that doesnt do that being a misreable sack.

I remember Saban’s years.

I remember the years during Miles when we had a “damn strong team.”

I remember the best offense in the country under O.

And we hired a $ 100 mill man to get us back there and he’s not accomplish much.

I didnt give him a penny personally, so my value proposition on finding enjoyment in a season isnt contingent on that at all.

I still get to hip bump my dad after scores, celebrate with my friends at bars and in the stands all the same.

Getting beat by USC was bad. Getting blown out by Bama was really bad. BK is a clown.

I remember the McClendon years when going 8-3 was the norm with the occasional 9-2, 6-5, 5-6 and 4-7 seasons.

I remember the Hallman years when LSU went 5-6, 2-9, 5-6 and 4-7.

I remember the Mike Archer seasons which were 10-1-1, 8-4, 4-7 and 5-6.

Let’s also not forget Gerry D who, although he brought back the magic, was hired from Vanderbilt with a losing record and best seasons in 8 years were 10-2, 9-3 and 7-4.

I was there during all the years you mentioned but I DO NOT want to go back. And, none of them were $100 mill for NOTHING!

I hate finishing with 3-4 losses and constantly asking "what if" but certainly feel thankful it's not like the 90s. Modern fans don't understand how awful those Curly Hallman days were. I remember feeling thankful for Dinardo!

We're not as far away from being where we want to be as most fans on this site make it sound.

If we don’t lose to usc or Florida we are in it! Lots of key injuries and lack of a running game did us in

Saban, Miles, and O went 8-4 and 9-3 a lot more than people here seem to remember.

I also find the obsession with Kelly's salary weird. He's like the 8th highest paid coach and many of those in that top 10 won't be in the playoff either.

People posting this crap about “northerners” and “Yankees” as totally embarrassing and they lose all credibility in critcising Kelly when the do it.
They are just too stupid to realize it.
There are some sound reasons to criticize Kelly. Maybe they don’t understand them at this point.
Meanwhile, let’s hire anybody who “talks like us”.

Sucked knowing the first week of the season our playoff hopes could be over by the first week of November….and once again they were!

Get used to it. Just a few more years, hopefully

That’s a pretty low frickin bar. We should want much better than what we’ve got.

Sure it’s ok to have a perspective, but the bar should be much much higher. And I’m sorry, but if we aren’t in the playoffs 3 out of every 4 seasons now that it’s a 12 team system, that’s a failure for a program like ours. And y’all should feel the same.
