I mean, it kinda did work. Harsin basically quit after that which lead to his downfall.

I dont know the distribution of Malzahn but If I remember well, Harsin was basically a bulk payment pretty quick after he was released. 15 mil if I remember correctly.

Gus went off the books January of this year. Not sure about Harsin, but his wasn't much after the initial payment.

We paid off Gus in June.
We owe Harsin 2 more payments of nearly 2mil each. Summer 2025 and summer 2026.
