Who is the most overrated band in history for you, SBD?
Posted on 11/29/24 at 8:50 pm to Rob Perillo
Honestly, probably Nirvana or The Who.

You can thank Bob Dylan for that.

You’re going to call in sick from your factory job when David Allen Coe dies, aren’t you.

I have a friend that got 2 degrees from Michigan St. then got drafted. He spent 4 years at Ft. Campbell in KY. when he got out, he had herd great things about the southern California lifestyle. he hitched to L.A., found a job and a party. He met a young woman that he thought was beautiful. He spent a year with her. She worked at a record label. They would get home at night, get drunk, high, and naked. They spent a year banging like rabbits, before and after work.
One day she met a musician at work that she felt she would have a better life with, so she left my buddy. She met the musician, George Harrison, in 1974 and married him in the late 70's. She stayed married to him until he died. She became a wealthy philanthropist.
My buddy never saw or spoke to her again after the split.

“ She stood there bright as the sun on that California coast
He was a Midwestern boy on his own
She looked at him with those soft eyes, so innocent and blue
He knew right then he was too far from home”
..seriously though, that is a great story.. Olivia seemed to have been a beautiful woman in her day .
