I’ve been a fan of theirs for decades.

Just about everything of theirs was great except for Calling Occupants.

Like them, Karen Carpenter had one of the top three female voices of all time.

Superstar
This is by far the best one.

She was an insane drummer.

Despite Ticket to Ride being probably my all time favorite Beatles song (if not outright favorite), their version is not my cup of tea.

For a 7 year period in the 70s they were as big as anybody. Karen is at or near the top of any vocalist list. "Close to You" is my favorite album and "For all we know" my favorite song of theirs.

Yep. The brother is weird, but Karen had a generational voice. One of a kind.

Don't like them. Never understood their popularity.

Amazin breath control. She'd sing forever on one breath and not break along the way.

Masquerade

Another Leon Russell song. One of my favorite Carpenters songs.

She was also a superb drummer, but I never cared for their music. Too bad Karen joined the "32 Club."

All of their albums had excellent sound quality with the exception Now and Then. It was too thin sounding.

Horizon had Karen without a pop filter and probably no screen.

You can hear her saliva when she sings Solitaire.

Richard may have been a druggie and married his cousin but but he knew to arrange and had a car fetish.

Too bad she didn’t live so that they could still release albums.
