One slot open at this position. So the backups warm the bench and enter the transfer portal. Rickey Collins and Collin Hurley are in the wings waiting for the Nuss bus to make another round of football next season. Now that is where it gets dicey. Coaches have to tread lightly to keep what you have and yet go out to the portal and find a new Heisman QB to bring you to the promise land. There will always be talent in the portal and NIL money and chance to be the starter is going to bring in some good talent. Question is how do you keep the talented two dual threat QB you have recruited from the high school ranks? Hurley is very young and just entering, so I think Ricky may be the one who transfers. I do not have an answer just the question.

You won’t be able to keep all 3.

You keep Nuss and Hurley. You let Collins walk.

If I had to choose, that is what I would do. And I am a big fan of Collins but Hurley has more upside.

The Television series was very popular. Marion High School changed its school yearbook to Paladin.

Because of the TV show and not because of the medieval knights who were Charlemagne's champions?

I think it’s “knight”, instead of “knife”. Sung by Johnny Western. Think that is his real name?

I like Collins too. Is Swann even good?

I got to watch him play against LCA in his senior year (as well as Arch Manning). He looked very good against a much better team in LCA and with a pretty porous Oline and maybe one good receiver. His outing vs LCA was much better than Arch's outing.

Upon my understanding, yes.

The mascot was the Warriors which became the Chargers.

The Ballad Of Paladin

YouTube · Johnny Western - Topic
Lyrics
Have gun will travel, reads the card of a man
A knight without armor in a savage land
His fast for gun hire heeds the calling wind
A soldier of fortune is a man called Paladin

Paladin, Paladin, where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin, far, far from home

He travels on to wherever he must
A chess knight of silver is his badge of trust
There are campfire legends that the Blade's men sing
Of the man with the gun, of the man called Paladin

Paladin, Paladin, where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin, far, far from home
Far from home, far from home

As a child of the 80's I always associate the song with Stand By Me (in which they are referencing the tv show)

I think Kelly brings in a transfer qb.

John mateer from Washington state would be a nice get. Grab his oc while you're at it. Sloan is shite.

This is a no brainer for Collins if he wants to play and Nuss returns. He has 2 to play 2 left. He could go someplace mid level but I also think he could go to UK and play right away. Holstien did pretty good going to Pitt so there are opportunities that exist if you pick the right one.
