Should've bought a Yeti. It would've been too heavy to lift out.

Seriously I've wondered when the cooler thief might tag me. I sometimes will run a shopping trip and throw a cooler in the back for the meats and dairy. Losing one of my old coolers wouldn't hurt too much but it could get real expensive in groceries if I'm on my last stop. Would suck to buy groceries twice in one day.

I use a bike lock on my coolers. Not that it helps now.

It had deer meat in it?

Call the game warden and get the video from Rouses.

Same. Allegedly you need the jaws of life to cut it.

Actually not a bad idea. They will be in way more trouble with the game warden than they ever would be for stealing a cooler.

Exactly. They better hope they didn't dump the meat on the side of the road...

It's not just any meat.

A bike lock? I have 2 experiences with cutting one and one being cut. I used to hunt exclusively out of climbers and would lock them to the tree. Once, I lost the key and had to cut the cable and it took a good bit of time with bolt cutters. Probably 10-20 minutes. The little cables just smashed down instead of cutting.
The other experience was when I locked my summit 180 max(the expensive one…) to a tree in sherburne, not in a hunting position, and went back and it was gone. Whoever took that stand wanted it bad, or carried the jaws of life out there to cut it. I’m still mad about that stand 10 years later

The thief is in illegal possession of wild game. If he dumped it he could possibly be charged with “ wanton waste” .
