2 TD's dropped. Had other dropped passes. Nuss got a clean pocket to step into his throws from OL, running game was solid.

Special teams blunder and 1st def play for the long bomb were about the only real bad miscues tonight.

Funny how much better things seem when you have a semi functional running game.

With a good run game we should have abandoned those stupid 0 yard passes.

Sorry, no he didn’t. Too many 3rd down plays calls with routes short of the sticks along with goin away from running the ball while getting 6 yards per carry in the 1st half and not running much at all in the 2nd half.

Helps when your talent gap is massive.

I like the previous games the last few weeks where talent was close, this was a massive gaping difference.

I think he called a decent game. I have stood by this but we are the worst 2nd down offense in the history of college football. If you watch this closely, we make the most obvious play call every 2nd down. It’s like it’s simply a bridge to our 3rd down. Our offense is solid on every down but 2nd and it’s killing us.

Vandy plays a zone defense. They took what the defense gave them and broke tackles for long gains.

You must have watched a different game.

Disagree, this game was won on the oline and Nuss not playing scared. LSU should have two more wins if they played like they did tonight. They didn’t even play great but if they played at this level they beat A&M and Florida

You realize we lead the conference in 3rd down conversion % right? We were 8/13 tonight on 3rd down. Thats not the cause of our struggles this year, at all

Well, we’re really good on 3rd down—the best in the SEC. So if it is simply a bridge to 3rd down, which is another bridge to 1st down, it would appear Sloan may actually be accomplishing what he’s trying to do on 2nd down. Perhaps he’s simply setting up an easier 3rd down.

Not sure how it’s killing us when we are literally the best team in the SEC on 3rd downs. The biggest thing that’s hurt our offense this year is not being able to finish off drives with touchdowns. We are terrible inside the red zone. Worse the closer we get, actually.

This. Sloan doesnt automatically diversify this offense in a week. He mighta been the guy relaying the plays, but he wasn't calling shite.

our read zone offense is BRUTAL.

How many times will we try the high pass to 14 deep in the end zone?
Nuss checked into right plays this game which helped alot in run game.

Nuss still needs to run the ball 3-5 times a game. Its wide open every RPO for him to run. If he runs a little then it creates much better angles for our RB if he lets them keep the ball.
