It’s not the way because they can get shipped to a sanctuary city and then leave that sanctuary city and relocate in a non sanctuary city. That’s the problem

Unless you want state troopers at every state’s border checking IDs of people leaving a state and entering into a new state then this will always be a huge issue

If you announce no enforcement in sanctuary cities, there will be a flood of invaders to those cities. Cut them off from federal funding at the same time and terminate all benefits for the invaders. As sanctuaries run out of money trying to handle this, and then invaders see they aren't getting money, many will then self-deport, meanwhile the sanctuary cities will fall apart.

Also can't forget about universities. Some of them declare themselves sanctuaries as well. Any state with a university doing this should have all funding terminated. That will force the governor to start swinging a big stick at that school.

Lot of soft ways to bring these places to their knees. But, Trump needs a bulldog at Treasury, not some hedge fund jackass. You need a bulldog that will personally put people in the chair to freeze funding lines and even pull back money from accounts. This hedge fund guy Trump wants for Treasury won't follow through on things like that. Treasury is among the most important picks here. Money is the leverage point.

Of course, when you clean up the rest of the nation and implement election integrity policies, then you go to sanctuaries and you arrest governors, mayors, etc. You can't just allow people to undermine our sovereignty and harm the nation.

Make it known these are the not states or cities where they’re safe and it’ll happen naturally.

Some people only learn the hard way.
