It won’t matter in a few years. I cannot see college counting on boosters and alumni to foot the bill indefinitely. Something’s gotta give.
People will get tired of spending this kind of money for unproven players. Only one team wins a natty every year. Half the teams in the SEC will have shite records even if we all had Michigan money. And Michigan is richer than any school in the SEC.
Even so, billionaires are cheap too. They didn’t become billionaires by paying unproven kids 12 million bucks just because they want to watch a good football team.
