Truly depressing era of LSU football right now.

2022: Overachieved and huge Bama win while making ATL
2023: Matt House ruined a heisman season and potential championship
2024: Kelly makes the defensive hires needed but gets lazy with the OC and fails to utilize the portal as we needed. Losses to USC, A&M and Florida are inexcusable.
2025: Look at what we lose and then look at the schedule. How can we even compete if Kelly doesn’t hit the portal HARD
So is 2026, Kelly’s 5th year in a 20 year contract, when we will finally compete?

He wasn't ever going to get a mega contract at Notre Dame, and he was getting exposed in recruiting due to the very high Notre Dame admission standards

What’s disgusting is a program the caliber of lsu losing 23 games since 2020.

The program should have turned the corner by now but the current level of play is classic, old school LSU. Overmatched, playing down to lesser competitors, choking when expected with a little sprinkle of surprise wins every once in a while.

It will be interesting to see if he can get the kids to play hard these next two games. Lose one or both of them and we’re right back to coach O days at 6-6 and probably watching guys transfer out. He’s got to win these next two games to keep his 2025 class together and not lose guys already on the roster.

Kelly will never win a championship here. It's better to just resign yourself to that and ride out the storm. He is who he's always been.
