The margins are small. Players and coaches need to be accountable.
.
Two drops INTs, their kicker going 2 for 2 on field goals over 50, you go 1 for 2.
The little thing like mason taylor catching the ball out of bounds on 2 & 8 then the drive stalls. Unnecessary pass interference on a touchdown.
Players were in position to make plays but didnt make them

I love Brian Kelly because I hate Notre Dame. Like pure hate, bro.
Absolutely, I want him to succeed at LSU for LSU's sake.
But, frick ND and their fans. They're eating this 3 game skid up just like you Orgeron apologists are.

Kelly only needs 5 more years.

The loss today was disappointing but not really BK fault. The players were put in position to make plays but failed to make the play. Lacey with the dumbest offensive interference play wiped out a TD. Right there is 4 points (score would be 20). A missed FG (23). 2 dropped interceptions and may get at TD or at worse a FG out of one of one of them and prevent Florida from scoring a TD ( 30 at most or 26 at worse and Florida would have 20).
The last few weeks people complained about the run game. LSU established the run today. Controlled time of possession. Problem is the pass offense was bad bc a couple of factors : LSU WRs are not good at creating separation and dropping too many passes. The Oline on inside was getting pushed bc playing new people there. Nuss when feeling the pressure tends to turn into Carr and backpedal rather than roll out and run.
I thought they would be 9-3 but 8-4 looks to be the ceiling. I think they win the last 2 but they can be beat if they don't play sound football. It is a disappointment of a season and I still have faith Kelly can be successful with the right players. He has proven his offense can be great. Changes will need to be made tho for sure.

All points to being undisciplined and that starts at the top.

It’s always the HC’s fault. Kelly even said it himself “the buck stops with me”
I’m not leading the fire Kelly charge because I believe firing him could lead to catastrophe for the program. However, absolving him of the teams performance is ignorance

This is part of the issue. The fear that Notre Dame fans and some of their media were spot on about BK's shortcomings.
They were right. He's a politician that loves golfing and money. Money, not some insatiable desire to win a NC, is his motivation. And LSU handed him a lot of it.

I just try to think logically about the matter, it seems many here would rather melt and rage.

Whether Kelly is a long term answer at LSU is obviously up for debate, but Notre Dame fans are full of shite. He was 113-40 there and rescued their arse from nearly twenty years of being a punching bag program and a coaching graveyard. Kelly did a hell of a job there.
Kelly is going to lose about three games a year and win at a .750 clip. That’s what he does. That’s the brand. That wasn’t a “shortcoming” at Notre Dame, that was a blessing.
At LSU? To be determined…

Woody got played because there aren’t any football people making decisions at the top. To shell out that kind of money on an underachieving dinosaur is insane. I like the hire to stabilize the program but you don’t do it for 10 years. You wanna overpay, fine but it’s a 5 year deal or in that range at least.

They have a noticeable pattern. They let the nuclear meltdown clear from people who work for a living and show up at 10 A.M. on Monday morning and pump sunshine for 5 days about the 2025 recruiting class until the next loss.
After Vandy, they'll still be giving the talent excuse and blaming Coach O.

I mean, they aren’t wrong. If O had done his job, he wouldn’t have been fired and we never would have hired BK. So yeah, regardless of how the team is talent wise, it IS his fault to a degree in regards to the fact that he put us in a position to be forced to fire him and hire a new coach. A coach that at the very least had a record of building and sustaining a program with at least admirable winning statistics.
You can not deny that the program took a hard nose dive after the championship year under Ed O. He left the program a mess. Obviously in that situation, you couldn’t take a chance on an “up and comer” who very likely could tank the program for a decade if it turned south. You almost HAD to look for a guy that at least on paper looked like a very promising hire. It’s hard to deny that “on paper” BK was an appealing hire. Winningest coach in Notre Dame history , had one of the highest winning percentages in college football…. He checked a lot of boxes on paper. You may not like the guy. You may have always hated him. But you really can’t deny that “on paper”, he looked like a good hire that should be able to rebuild and stabilize a falling program.

He left the program a mess? Kelly inherited 13 NFL players. Thats one of the best 2 year stretches in program history for talent drafted out of here only behind a couple groups.

Dude. Give it a rest. BK may not be the answer, but to deny that Ed O fricked this program up is just pure ignorance. This hero worship you have of Ed O is really creepy. Are you in love with him or something?

So then you are admitting that Ed O was a terrible coach? Because if he had all that talent, he sure didn’t do anything with it during those last years after 2019.
No but I’m sure there will be an excuse coming…

Yes absolutely O was terrible. More so as a leader than with actual Xs and Os football.
