It's not a fluke that UFC killed boxing

30+ minutes between the Co-main and Main event. Cringe walkouts. Rosie fricking Perez as a color commentator.

Streams down constantly.

Insanely corrupt judging and a main event of a 27 yr old YT star fighting a 58 yr old who already had to postpone the fight due to a health emergency. And that's the biggest fight in years.

Say what you want about Dana, but UFC broadcasts are insanely entertaining, efficinet, and and well oiled machines. Only HBO boxing was equal or close in terms of production. Everything else, especially recently, just feels like a hacky, cluttered shite show.

The irish girl won that fight fair and square. Unanimous by judges, and the puerto rico girl is lucky it wasn't a TKO in the middle of the match with her eye bleeding the way it was, actually stopped the fight.

The commentators showed low class in that fight. Bottom class. Gutter level class.

It’s political because Dana White!

I’ll allow it.

And Mike Tyson is MAGA

But agreed. MMA is a much more exciting product

Just say “trump should fix this” at the end to make it political

Boxing at it's best is significantly better but top fights priced themselves out of ESPN/HBO range. (Valdez/Navarette is coming up on ESPN in Dec. but it's the exception these days.) There just aren't currently enough compelling personalities and rivalries to sjustify the PPV prices. I'll pay for Usyk/Fury 2 but I used to buy four or five every year.

Here’s the thing about this fight. And I went in thinking this but hoped for the best.

Mike Tyson is sitting there getting high and chilling.

Phone rings. It’s whichever Paul this was. I don’t know or care. Hey Tyson. You’re my hero. You’re the greatest ever. Want to make some money.

I’m 58

It’s a lot of money. And we will spin the shite out of it. And sell it. It’s not actually even a fight.

Mike. Yeah okay send the check.

Whatever that was on last night, it wasn't boxing.
Not boxing as they hyped it to be.
It was WWE with boxing gloves.
I couldn't get past the first fight. Roy Jones Jr should be ashamed of himself. I guess he needed the money, I don't know.

The event was a pathetic joke. Terrible.

Obviously well informed. The Barrios-Ramos fight was incredible.

Jake Paul sounded pretty MAGA without straight up saying it in his post fight interview last night.

MMA is a more exciting product/display of physicality, but the hype/"showtime" element for Big Boxing Matches was/is always infinitely more engaging & dramatic.

Even last night, where a You Tuber fought a 58 y/o boxing icon at a sold out AT&T Stadium, it was must-see tv where an estimated 100 million tuned in to watch. As usual, the boxing itself was crap, but nobody builds up hype better than boxing. Mayweather-McGregor had 50 million eyeballs, despite the underwhelming boxing display.

What did he say? MSB was calling him MAGA last night during too but my Netflix stream was arse and had no volume halfway through.

No it's nit. It never was. They have entirely to many belts and never fight one another. I'll bet you money right now that that there's 2 dudes that weigh within 2 lbs of each other that are both 27-0 and hold 5 titles a piece that are avoiding each other like the plague. It took paqiou being 38 years old before Mayweather would fight him. Anthony Joshua, tyson fury and deontay wilder were all undefeated and all had belts in the same weight class and just shared tomato cans they beat up for the better part of a decade before they ever considered fighting one another. The ufc is 10x better. Boxing is and always has been a more violent WWE

He's pretty MAGA. He endorsed Trump a few days before the election.
