Area 4
48 and calm
Sitting in a loc on a strip of hardwood between two bedding areas.
I hate full moons and regardless what gps data shows I feel like I see less deer.
But it’s an awesome day to be in a stand instead of work, a hospital or unemployment line!!
Good luck

Well the annual coonass migration has begun. Woods are full of crossbow hunters that will be “slippin” come 8 am.

Maybe they will get things moving around.

Good luck gents

Sat here last three days before work after seeing a pile of deer on camera over the weekend only to see nothing with a good wind. Nice 8 been all over this cam last few weeks during daylight and cannot help but think he’s coming by to check for a doe soon.

Yearling passed 10 yards underneath need his father to show
Six point cruising couldn’t get a shot if I wanted.

Small buck came through at 6:30 with his nose on the ground. Pretty sure it was a cull that I need to get rid of but it was too dark to know for sure when I saw him.

Just had a really nice buck make a scrape behind me at 30 yards. Too thick for a shot.

Dammit.

I have two cameras out in a field we own Lincoln/Union Parish border, two days ago I got more pictures than an day all year, even some during daylight.

I looked at a chart that showed - Waning Gibbous Phase

I've never been a moon hunter but something had them stirring.

I also noticed a lot of good bucks being killed on the Louisiana Deer Hunters facebook

I'm hunting a tripod stand overlooking a food plot this afternoon. Hunting with a .45-70.

I missed a doe here on Monday. She was right at the limit of my comfort zone for range at 100 yards and I shot high. If she comes back out tonight, I think I'll have one on the ground.
