Mother arrested after 10-year-old son walks into town …

This happened in rural Georgia too. The main danger to “public” safety in this incident stems from the police and CPS.

Didn't 10 year olds go off camping in the woods 20 years ago?

Ridiculous. When I was a kid, in the summer I would take off on my bike and not come home until dark.

I road my bike literally everywhere when I was 8-12 age range, they wouldn’t hear from us until the street lights went out

Me and my cousin would ride bikes into town alone from my grandparents farm. The horror.

My son got nachos alone at the LSU game. Hes 9. Guess I should be in jail.

Helicopter moms and busy-body do-gooders expect you to smother your children the same way they do.

My mom kicked me out on Saturday mornings when I was younger than that and said don't come back until it gets dark

She looks like she has some Cherokee in her. I’d like to put something else in her.

This is bullshite. People need to mind their own business.

When my son was 8 years old, he walked about half a mile down our street to cut down bamboo stalks so he could build a fort. Some jackass neighbor saw him and called the police. The police picked him up, put him the back seat like a fricking criminal, drove him back to our house, and told my wife to never let him out of her sight again.

Every time I hear back the blue, I just shake my head because they'll be the ones throwing innocent people in jail and excuse it because they were 'just following orders'.

Wow. At 9 I killed my first white tail buck and drug it out of the woods with my motorcycle with my single shot 20 gauge in my sling.

ALL BY MYSELF!!

What a waste of resources. Typical small town BS. I bet the hot single mom rejected someone on the force of their friend.

I’d be step dad for the kids if they need a male influence.

Kids used to get dropped off at the mall or ride their bikes there and wondered around for hours.
