Any of you guys get overtime pay on your job?

Looks like the new administration is going to try and end overtime pay. What have you heard about this? That would mess me up big time.

I don't think they are getting ride of OT but I do believe you will see a lot of salaried people going hourly with salary exempt going up at the end of fhe year

Used to, until the Applications team whined because they had no opportunity for OT. I work a ton of it because I'm a network engineer and a good chunk of my work is done after hours. Sucks because that time and a half pay was sweeeeeeet.

It's a federal law that anything over 40 is paid as OT. If companies choose to work people over 40 hrs, it's paid OT.
I work in Industrial Construction and there's no escaping OT being paid!!!

So what's to stop me from paying all of my salaried employees by the hour and then claiming they work 60 hours a week? I'd effectively be allowing them to not pay taxes on 1/3 of their new "hourly" pay.
