I think Bluff Farms makes it. Has anyone ever tried it? Is it an attractant?

You are correct. It’s me by Bluff farms south of Natchez. The deer love it and wipe it out once they find it. It can get expensive quick.

I bought some one day when the feed store was out of rice bran. It’s a corn/pellet mix.
It doesn’t have a super strong smell like say big and j or wild game treat though.
The deer ate it but I didn’t see any booners and it seemed to work just like rice bran and corn.
If you want to attract deer to a location that hasn’t been fed before use wild game treat.
I can smell it from 50-60yd so I assume a deer can smell it from 500-600yds

North of Natchez Dub west of 61

Yeah it’s a lil pricey but you can use it in a spin type feeder as long as you don’t get a clumps of molasses. Sometimes I use it in my trough with Mo Buck.

You are correct…I misspoke.
I’ve used there seed blends as well and they performed well. I’d get it at BH farm supply in Woodville.

I’ve come to the conclusion that anyone who has a little time can make their own deer attractant with corn, rice bran dried molasses and whatever else deer eat. Just like people make their own seed blend.

Before feeding was banned in my area It was all I used. Not the cheapest but I decided I'd rather spend 1,000 on good feed than 800 on poor feed. If the ban ever gets lifted or i get a lease in another area I'd go back to it.

Any input on something called Black Diamond? A guy at work swears by it.

its all we use in our supplemental feeders. I get it around 15-16 bucks a bag. While expensive, the deer love it and it attracts while having protein.

I recommend it over Corn...pay the few extra bucks for the nutrients.

I've used it a good bit, with very good success attracting deer. The first night I put it out this year, I had 6 new bucks come in and feed on it. Nothing crazy big. Had not had the first buck to that feeder before that. DO NOT use it in a gravity feeder however. At least that is my experience. The molasses gets all gummed up and doesn't pour well out of the spouts. It can get pretty disgusting just sitting and festering in there. If you're looking to buy in bulk, there is a group of kids in the Pride/Central area that I buy it and corn from. $560/pallet Buck Plus($14.00/bag). A buddy of mine I believe found them on facebook. Pretty much every time I put it out, I have bucks there, that evening.

Are you guys putting it into broadcast/spinner feeders? I tried protein pellets in ours like they do in Texas, but with it not being as dry in Mississippi, had clumping/clogging problems and had to drag out the old gravity feeders.

I’ve used in a spin type feeder. Biggest thing is to watch for clumps of molasses. They weren’t giant clumps but lil bigger then kernel of corn.

We have so many coons, they would eat a sack a night. When the season opens and I’m there for more than a couple of days at a time, I’m going to start trapping to see if I can thin them some. Our neighbor has taken out 41 since August.

My problem is squirrels this year. Had 8 on and around my feeder last weekend.

There’s always this 1 that just keeps spinning the spinner cause he’s too good to eat off the ground like his buddies!
