We camp a few times deer hunting each year. It’s time for new lanterns. Any recommendations. Getting tired of changing mantles and pumping up lanterns. I rebuilt mine but still having problems. I am thinking LED might be easier.

Costco has a double pack of Duracell lanterns that take batteries and also have a solar panel on top. I solar charged the lantern in Wyoming and it did great.

I got a couple cheap ones from Amazon that work great. I don’t know about camping but they are great around the house for power outages and last a long time on a set of batteries.

Get one from whatever brand of power tools you already own.

I don't know that they are spectacular or unique in any way but I have several Swiss Tech rechargeable LED lanterns from Walmart (about $35 I think) that have lasted a long time and work like they should. They charge quick and last a long time between charges. They are dimmable and have a blue tooth speaker in them that doesn't sound horrible...not high fidelity but serviceable. I suspect there are 1000s of similar ones available but I know for certain the ones I have work as they should and have lasted a long time.

I got a couple of UST 30-Day Lanterns. Simple and work great for the occasional power outage. Battery lasts forever. Started buying them as gifts for relatives.

I bought the Coleman rechargeable for hurricane use.

Looks similar to the old original Coleman lantern.

Less that $60. on eBay. Two lumen levels.

Me and a few friends have lt1 minis we use often. They don’t make the mini anymore but I would absolutely buy an lt1 or lt1s and not think too much about it.

I bought a four pack of these bad boys for use when the electricity goes out. Cost me $23 and they work well. I wouldnt hesitate to take them tent camping with me. They claim to be water resistant, but I havent put them through that test yet.
