Gallego, a five-term member of Congress, pulled in about 5.6% more votes in Arizona than Harris, based on unofficial returns as of Friday evening.

So did Trump voters vote for him, or what?

Does that make any sense?

Awfully similar to Joe Biden getting 81M votes in 2020.

Statistically impossible.

Looks like something the new DOJ needs to check out.

Guessing Lake did bad with Hispanics while Trump did pretty good.

For whatever reason, independents and independent-leaning Republicans do not like Lake.

It is kind of funny that the libs aren't raising hell about the patriarchy over this race, though.

Makes sense to me.

Democrats voted for Trump

1) He's Hispanic and a man, Kamala is black (or at least not Hispanic) and a woman. Kamala was also welded to a terrible and extremely unpopular administration.

2) Arizona voters seem to not want Kari Lake. You could continue scream about cheating or whatever, even though Trump won the state bigly, and simp about how "hot" she is even though she looks more or less like any well-preserved wealthy suburban mom. Or, you could just let her go since she's never won anything, has never held public office, and was a democrat as recently as 10 years ago.

It tells me how much Arizona voters disapprove of Lake.

Plus, Gallego is a known quantity to those voters having been in congress for 10 years.

Better luck next time, Kari...

That’s become the prevailing groupthink, but I’ve yet to see a good explanation of why that’s the case, other than her not being moderate enough- but Trumps win there hurts that argument badly.

Gallego outperformed the D POTUS candidate on a federal ballot, as well as every other D House candidate. By far. What was so special about Gallego?

And he has received over 140,000 more votes than there are registered Dems in the state of AZ.!

My guess, and I don't know - Arizona voters were very turned off by Harris (a Californian) and not Gallego and the House races are not statewide and will naturally vary from the statewide race.

There is a Stacy Abrams effect in AZ I suspect

They're just sick of her

The knock on Lake was she’s a Trump acolyte, right? That’s a tougher argument to make in light of Trumps big win there.

So those claiming that it's cheating, you think they went in and changed votes for Lake but not Trump? What retarded world do some of you live in? There's about 100k fewer people that voted for the senate compared to president. Gallego only picked up 86k more results than Harris. That looks like a lot of Trump voters not interested in the senate vote or Lake.

I did answer your question. You just don't like the answer.

Lake has proven she has too much baggage for Arizona voters to want to vote for her. I don't know what that baggage is but I don't need to know.

But when more than 100,000 Republican voters in a state would rather vote for a Democrat for U.S. senator, or not vote at all, rather than voting for a fellow Republican, it is very revealing about the Republican candidate.
